all wrapped up.

Delivery day! Today I got a package of goodies that I ordered from SurfStitch.com. I've been trying for so long to find a nice looking wrap skirt, that is the exact style that I'm after. I found so many that were half short, half long, or the wrap wasn't able to be seen clearly ect. Then I stumbled across this range of 'Betty Basics' on Surf Stitch.com that were perfect! I love this style because it's able to be dressed up or down, and it is more flattering than just a straight across mini skirt, so of course I got it in all three colours. So good for these hot summer days, but I will probably wear the black one with tights in winter too! Here are a few photo's I took this morning when I tried them on. What one is your favourite? I'm thinking the grey one - basic yet classy.

The rest of my day will consist of reading Harpers Bazaar, drinking Chai Tea, cuddling my puppy and repeating the affirmations in 'Treasure Yourself'. I love that book. It's so peaceful and reassuring, and it really relaxes me when I feel stressed or worried.

Happy Monday!

MBFWSTHLM - Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Stockholm. So jealous at the moment of anyone living in the EU, as they have more of an oppotunity to make it to Stockholm Fall Fashion Week. They sure do street-style the best, and the amazing styles, textures and patterns make me so jealous of anyone who is there. I love looking at fashion festivals from Europe/USA because their current fashion trends are our up and coming ones (because they're a season ahead). The trends I have seen so far look amazing, and so simple, such as plaid/tartan shirts, and jackets, charchol grey's, stripes, white shirts, pink/colourful coats, all black outfits, burgundy and all white. Mmm... It makes me excited for winter already!  I think this Winter I want to try investing in pieces I really like. I always seem to buy a lot of cheaper, but then I never end up wearing them or they end up falling apart so quickly, whereas this season I want to buy things I actually want, like a real leather jacket, rather than a PU one, and one I really like, rather than a cheap version I will get sick of. This way, I will have pieces to keep for every season, and not have to buy them again very often. What do you guys think? Do you do this? Or would you buy cheaper versions and replace them?

Here are a few outfits that really stood out to me as favourites so far from the street style pictures published on style.com and wmagazine.com...

Tartan styles in pants, shirts (my fav), and coats.

Hints of leopard in pants/accessories

Burgundy, Black & Leopard... Oh My.

Crisp White Shirts + Low Bun = Instant Chic.

Girl-Meets-Boy looks. They're playful, fun and comfortable! Think sneakers with skirts, crop tops, and stripes!

Overly feminine - the 50's are back, in terms of long a-line skirts, red lipstick, and glamorous accessories.

Cosy coats - in pastels, navy, or grey - if they are long and oversized they will be in - but I'm opting for a collarless version so that you don't feel so constricted when you wear a scarf as well!

Hope you liked this post! Happy Thursday!

*disclaimer - no photo's are my own, all were found on the websites mentioned in the post. :)

pink & healthy

Happy Wednesday! I was so tired yesterday from our drive back from the beach, I didn't get to post! Anyways,  I've just joined the gym! I signed up to Fernwood Fitness. I feel good knowing its girls only, it feels less intimidating to go there than my previous gym. I got to buy some new gym things, which was so fun. Its so nice having new things, and it motivates me to go to the gym if I feel good in the clothes that I wear. Here are a few of the things I got to start off with - pink, black and grey are the colours I feel best in!
Leopard Gym Bag - this is so good not just for gym but also for overnight/weekend trips as well! I can fit a whole lot in it!

Pink Clear Drink Bottle

Gym Clothes - 3/4 tights, a charcohl grey top, and a pink sports bra to wear undernearth my t-shirts!

And a healthy lunch beforehand. I've been looking at clean eating, and it seemed so hard at first, but now I've found some great websites with lots of recipes, and simple & yummy meal ideas. I've been eating organically, but not clean, so that is something I would like to try soon! Does anyone eat clean/have any tips? I would love to hear them!

All items here are available at Cotton On Body :)

southern leopard.

Happy Tuesday everyone! Hot on trend right now = leopard shoes, in particular, slip ons. I wan't too sure about these until I saw them styled in so many different ways, and then I instantly needed them. I researched a few different styles and brand options. Most of which, were in the higher price range, except some Sportsgirl ones. But of course, they were sold out online.. Then I went into my local store, and grabbed the lucky last size 7! Must have been destiny. Anyways, I thought I would put on here a few different options, varying in price points, brands, and prints (slightly).

iphone lately..

So long since I have posted! Being caught up between family, working full-time (long hours) and catching up with housework ect. has really taken over my life lately - but i have been missing blogging so much. I think now that I have Tuesday's off I will make that my blogging day for now so it will become weekly again. Any suggestions for some post ideas? Do you like the outfit posts or inspo posts? Let me know suggestions - I would love that! Anyways - here are some recent Instagram photo's as well as some off of my phone as well that I haven't posted there.

New Years
1. Girls in the back of the taxi to Portsea Pub (after too many jelly shots).
2. My outfit - I loved this head piece from Sportsgirl, and my dress from a store in Bendigo - it was perfect for the Hawaiian theme!
3. Funny faces!
4. Our cool/naughty tickets - "everybody gets leid"

New clothes - all from cotton on. They're so flowy and nice - perfect for Thailand!

New Karen Walker sunglasses. I got "The Number Ones" finally, I love the shape and they look and feel so luxurious!

View from New Years - so pretty.

Dinner at Groove Train with Kyle and his brother. I love the food there - everything is so yummy and they have heaps of meals to choose from. I love salt and pepper calamari the best - I get it nearly every time.

Our new pots with the plants we got for them! They're called "Lilly Pilly's" - such a cute name!

Our 3rd year anniversary dinner at The Woodhouse in Bendigo. They're famous for their steaks, and as a non-steak lover, I really enjoy them from there. Plus the owners were lovely enough to give me the names of places to buy the mozarella cheese and jamon from! So sweet.

I hope you enjoyed this post - more to come!
