MBFWSTHLM - Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Stockholm. So jealous at the moment of anyone living in the EU, as they have more of an oppotunity to make it to Stockholm Fall Fashion Week. They sure do street-style the best, and the amazing styles, textures and patterns make me so jealous of anyone who is there. I love looking at fashion festivals from Europe/USA because their current fashion trends are our up and coming ones (because they're a season ahead). The trends I have seen so far look amazing, and so simple, such as plaid/tartan shirts, and jackets, charchol grey's, stripes, white shirts, pink/colourful coats, all black outfits, burgundy and all white. Mmm... It makes me excited for winter already! I think this Winter I want to try investing in pieces I really like. I always seem to buy a lot of cheaper, but then I never end up wearing them or they end up falling apart so quickly, whereas this season I want to buy things I actually want, like a real leather jacket, rather than a PU one, and one I really like, rather than a cheap version I will get sick of. This way, I will have pieces to keep for every season, and not have to buy them again very often. What do you guys think? Do you do this? Or would you buy cheaper versions and replace them?
Here are a few outfits that really stood out to me as favourites so far from the street style pictures published on style.com and wmagazine.com...
Tartan styles in pants, shirts (my fav), and coats.
Hints of leopard in pants/accessories
Burgundy, Black & Leopard... Oh My.
Crisp White Shirts + Low Bun = Instant Chic.
Girl-Meets-Boy looks. They're playful, fun and comfortable! Think sneakers with skirts, crop tops, and stripes!
Overly feminine - the 50's are back, in terms of long a-line skirts, red lipstick, and glamorous accessories.
Cosy coats - in pastels, navy, or grey - if they are long and oversized they will be in - but I'm opting for a collarless version so that you don't feel so constricted when you wear a scarf as well!
Hope you liked this post! Happy Thursday!
