summer love

the things I love about summer - beach, messy hairstyles, fruit and salads, crochet, dresses, distressed denim shorts paired with clean lines, tan skin, waves, chunky watches, sparkles, blonde hair, messy buns, freckles, no shoes, mexican food, friends, minimal clothing, smoothies, boyfriend jeans, hats, city, fresh flowers and white on white.

a white christmas

Ever since I was little, all I wanted was a white Christmas tree! I just loved them - they felt so homely and christmas-y. So this year I had to have one! Here are a few photo's from our home which is now filled with Christmas decorations and lights, and candles. I love the smell of candles, especially caramel and vanilla smelling ones, they just make our home feel so homely and welcoming.

I was going to get teal baubles and tinsel ect, but I thought that for our first Christmas we should make it traditional, so instead we chose red and gold as our colour scheme.

I love these features on our table. The large stick-like ornament is from Adairs, and the candles are just from the supermarket, but I thought they were so lovely.

The French side of my family will love this - 'Noel' means Christmas in French.

I love our home like this, so warm and homely..

This is Kobe's most hated ornament - he thinks that it is real and continuously barks at it from the couch.

My little elf - I love him so much! He makes this Christmas all the more special!

home, sweet home..

Here is part of the reason my blogging stopped for a while - our new home! We moved here in September, and ever since this is where all my time, energy, and money has gone into. I love it! And wouldn't have it any other way - our home is the perfect mix between girly and boyish, but I have had to stop myself from buying pink pillows, or girly things, and adjust to darker, and more manly styles to suit Kyle's style too. Here are some random photo's around our home, enjoy.

Sprinkles of Christmas - but not too much before December 1st.

Fresh flowers & the work station.

Fashion books, of course.

One thing we can't live without - a good coffee in the morning. No instant here!

A few favourite things to eat - fresh fruit, herbs, crunchy bread, and home-made banana cake.

I love that when we look out the back we don't see other houses, but some bush & nice blue skies.

Fresh sheets - nothing better.

I love baskets - And there is a lot around our home. I feel like they organise me, but also make everything look so homely and country-esque.

December Wishlist

So this month I have been craving some... rather expensive/naughty things. They're mostly accessories, but I can't choose what I want first, or what I really NEED.. We never really NEED anything, just want it. But there's nothing wrong with wanting nice things. Here are a few of the items I like at the moment, and where I've looked at getting them.
Bassike - Stripe Slouch Jersey Pant - I have the black version of these, and I love them - so comfy and effortless. I love this soft stripe too, as it's feminine and light - perfect for summer.

The Mode Collective Purse - From The Iconic - I love the fact that you can put your initials on this, and really personalise it. I haven't had a purse before - does anyone like/not like them as an alternative to a wallet?

Marc by Marc Jacobs Baker Watch - From ShopBop.com - I love this watch, and I don't like many. A big, white face with a bracelet style band makes for a timeless watch, and I like how it has MARC on it, but it isn't too "in your face". This has varied in price on various websites - ShopBop I found was the cheapest at $250. Any other suggestions?

Tilkah Chelsey Bag - Tilkah.com.au - Love it - my manger has it in tan and ever since I saw it I had to have it. I love the gold and black together - so classy, and it's big enough to fit all my things in, plus a water bottle ect. I like that it has 3 x zip compartments (I'm always muddling up my things together and it gets messy).

Karen Walker - "The Number One" Sunglasses - From ?
I love these! But I have no idea where to get them? Does anyone know/can someone suggest a place to me? They look amazing, and so summery & nice!

Hope you enjoyed the post & hope someone can help me on my search!

summer wardrobe.

So so long since I have posted. I wasn't sure whether my blog was something I wanted to continue or not, but over the weekend some old friends re-inspired me.... so here I am! This post is just a small preview of my summer wardrobe so far, but as most of us Victorians know, summer has hardly settled in, so I still have a few of my winter-ish garments out as well.

1. Basic Tops - I have these in so many colours it's ridiculous. For summer I still wear black and white alot, but in terms of colour I like corals and pinks, and this season - soft lime.
2. Boyfriend Jeans - I love these because I can just put them on to go anywhere, and they look great with flats, or with heels!
3. Shorties - I love flowy styles and distressed denim. These are my favourite pairs this season - both from Zara.
4. Shoes, shoes, shoes - always in neutral colours such as tan, black and beige.

I love stripes every season, winter, autumn, spring and summer. They are so classy, and timeless. This one is from Witchery - I love the embellishments on the shoulders.

Soft, see through knits - perfect for this unpredictable weather that we have had lately! Zara is the best for these I find because they never stretch or go out of shape, and the care instructions are much easier than many knits from other brands.

Leather vests - day or night, these will jazz up any outfit, or add a tom boy effect, without the warmth of a leather jacket.

Senso Sasha's - best summer heel I have ever had - they go with everything and anything, and because they are so different, people always compliment them or notice them which is always nice.

Crochet and denim shorts. This top is from Sportsgirl, and the shorts are from Portmans. They both go with everything and I wear them to death. If I can't be bothered putting any effort into an outfit them I chuck on these items and I'm good to go. Someone else likes them too? Meet Kobe, my little pugalier (pug x king charles cavalier), the newest fashionista in our household.

So, I hope you enjoyed the new post! Good to be back. :)
